Originally from Gold Canyon, Arizona, Maya Cabelli grew up dancing in small studios across the valley under teachers Natasha Fielding, Joshua Brooksher, and Olga Tarasova. At seventeen she moved to Oklahoma to continue her training at Oklahoma City Ballet School. She was later accepted into the trainee program at Tulsa Ballet. There she got to perform in various productions such as The Nutcracker and Derek Deane’s Strictly Gershwin. Since then Maya has spent the last couple of years back in her home state teaching both ballet as well as her other passion, circus arts. Maya is very excited to be starting this next chapter with Ballet Papillon!
